Write Away

Do you like to write?  Have you written poetry, short stories, or even a book?  If you enjoy writing or would just like to practice and improve your writing, please consider coming to the Write Away Club!  Twice a month, our club will meet in Mrs. Prosser's room (A5).  You will be able to work on any type of writing you want, including writing for your English class or just personal writing. Mrs. Prosser will also have information about writing contests that you can enter. There have been multiple club members who have had their writings published in some of the contest books!  

And if you'd like, you will have the opportunity to share your writings with your peers, but you definitely don't have to. Students can also submit a piece of writing to be added to our yearly Write Away Book.  All students who submit something will receive a copy of the finished book.  This is a great opportunity for you to tap into your creativity and also hone your writing skills, all while hanging out with your friends and occasionally enjoying some snacks ... both of which are scientifically proven to improve your mood!
