What may be hundreds of East Tipp students are making their preparations for their teams to compete in this year's MCAA Tournament. Students make teams of four to compete against each other in an elimination-style math contest. Each team must have at least one sixth-grader, at least one seventh-grader, and no more than one eighth-grade algebra student. Around fifty teams register every year, with a high of 74 teams just a few years ago.  Over the first few weeks after break, we'll cut this year's group to 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, and then the 2025 Champion to be announced on Awards Day.
