Tippecanoe School Corporation
COVID update January 14, 2021
Sue Scott

The TSC looks forward to welcoming students back into our buildings when in-person instruction resumes on Tuesday, January 19.

In light of Tippecanoe County moving into red status January 13, the Tippecanoe County Health Department advised all local schools that in addition to the statewide restrictions imposed on red counties per the Governor's Executive Order, the following information is applicable for county schools:

  • County schools may continue attending in person as is (or as planned in TSC's case January 19).  Any decisions regarding operational changes will be made locally if schools are directly impacted with staffing or student attendance issues created by isolation or quarantines.
  • Athletics and extracurricular activities may continue, but the events are limited to the participants, support personnel needed to conduct the activity and two spectators per participant.

The county will continue to monitor the data and advise schools appropriately if additional changes are necessary or when certain restrictions are lifted. We will be sure to keep you informed.

To help stop the spread of this virus, we need all families to cooperate and do their part to screen for symptoms, stay home when sick, and most certainly not come to school when awaiting test results. By taking these precautions we’re giving ourselves the best chance to maintain our in-person education and keep classrooms open. Thanks for your continued flexibility, patience, and understanding as we continue maneuvering through the pandemic.
