Harrison High School and McCutcheon High School will celebrate the Class of 2024 during commencement ceremonies Sunday, June 2 at Purdue’s Elliott Hall of Music.
The ceremony for 460 Harrison graduates will start at 1 pm and include speeches from the class president and nine valedictorians.
"When I think of the Class of 2024, I think of what they have shared,” says Principal Cory Marshall. “They have shared triumphs on the field, late nights studying, the applause of concerts, productions, and awards, and also moments of quiet growth in school halls. They have challenged themselves, debated with classmates and teachers, and learned the art of compromise. Their unique talents and passions have defined them for the last four years. Now, it is time to take that vibrant energy and spread it out into the world. I do not doubt that they will continue to chase their dreams with the same determination they have shown these past four years. I am excited to watch from a distance as they take their next steps."
The ceremony for 328 McCutcheon graduates begins at 4 pm and includes speeches from 12 valedictorians.
“The McCutcheon High School Class of 2024 is a dynamic group of students,” says Principal Gloria Grigsby. “They have interests in a wide variety of career fields and our futures are bright as these students will become medical personnel, law enforcement members, engineers, lawyers and advanced manufacturers. Most importantly, they will be lifelong learners who live their lives with PRIDE (positivity, respect, integrity, determination, and empathy) in all they do. I look forward to seeing their successes.”
