In conjunction with study of the Ancient Greek civilization, the 6th grade Social Studies classes participated in a Greek Festival. The students of each class period were divided into three groups that developed a play script from a Greek myth. During the festival, each group performed their play with costumes and props.
Of course, every good festival revolves around the food, so the students were encouraged to bring authentic Greek food to school on the day of the festival. From gyros to baklava, feta cheese to hummus, the students ate heartily while attending their theater productions of Greek myths.
