Health Office
Here are a few reminders about getting started with the health office each year:
If your child has any health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, or seizures, please print those forms from the TSC website or stop by our office during school hours to pick them up. If your student has any other chronic or acute conditions that we have not listed above, please contact us during school hours so we can help you navigate the process of what we will need here at school to provide care for your student.
Summer is a great time to get all of that paperwork completed by a physician so that your child is ready to start school in August. The health office will not be able to provide care for a student’s chronic condition (i.e.: tube feed, trach suction, or I&O catheter) without doctor’s orders and the proper paperwork received prior to school starting. All immunizations and forms are due prior to the first day of school. Immunizations must be current PRIOR to starting school. Check with your provider or the health department if you are unsure about your child’s status. Failure to provide up to date immunization records will result in your child being excluded from school. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
All prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications (i.e.: cough drops, inhaler, ADHD meds, medicated creams) must be FDA-approved and will be kept in the school health office. Your child may not carry any medication at school. All prescription and OTC medications must be in the original container with the current pharmacy or package, labeled correctly with the most current date, student’s name, dosage, frequency and match the current doctor’s orders on file with the health office. At no time will medications be transported by a student. Any change in prescription medication, dosage, or time to be given must be in written form from the parent with an accompanying doctor’s order.
Your child may not carry any medication at school, with the exception of inhalers, diabetic supplies and epinephrine (Epipen). These emergency medications may be carried only with written permission from your child's physician and from the parent/guardian.
We don't call home for every visit to the health office, unless there's a serious concern or a specific reason to do so. If we notice your student frequently visiting the health office or a pattern of frequent visits, we will reach out to you for support in addressing these issues.
Our Mission Statement
Registration
Families wishing to register for the 2024-25 school year may do so online in the time frame established by TSC.
Walk-in registration is available beginning July 18; however, families must schedule an appointment to use walk-in registration. Appointments may be made by calling the school (765-589-3566). Walk-in registrants will need to bring any custody/guardianship papers, IEP information, proof of residency, birth certificate, immunization record, and name/address of the prior school. The fall semester begins on August 13.
Families needing to register after that period is complete should contact Mrs. Rice, our counselor.
Aside from TSC's registration documents, you might also be interested in the form for student medication and the school supply list available in the drop-down area below this one.
Families of students who are new to East Tipp are encouraged to attend the Parent Bootcamp from 6-8pm on August 8. The evening provides an opportunity to meet the principal and staff members, learn about Canvas and PowerSchool, and ask questions about East Tipp. Although the evening is primarily geared toward sixth-grade students and their families, families of any new students are definitely welcomed!
